In the last few years, Europe has had its fair share of travel problems in Nice, Brussels, Paris, London and Manchester. As a result, it’s quite obvious that travelers are concerned about spending their vacation time here, but as travel agents now is not the time to stop selling Europe. It’s quite the opposite, actually.
It’s time to sell Europe again –its culture, experience, food and heritage. There are so many wonderful places for your clients to go, so sell!
Start with its food – the chocolate in Paris, the wine in Vienna, the bratwurst in Germany or the pasta in Italy – oh, the pasta in Italy!
Sell them on one of the most romantic destinations in Europe — Paris, France. After all it’s called the City of Love. Your clients can toast their love with a tour of champagne company Moët & Chandon, one of the most popular champagnes in the world, or indulge in a vacation of chocolate when they visit during October’s three-day chocolate festival, Salon du Chocolat. The nightlife and the arts in Paris are a must to be experienced, including Moulin Rouge, a troupe of 80 artists.
Italy is on most bucket and it’s obvious why. From the history, such as the Coliseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Trevi Fountain, to the Tuscan countrysides and the delicious wines, Italy is the perfect destination for your client’s next vacation. Off-the-beaten path, Italy still has so much to see, including Castello Orsini-Odescalchi, a grandiose castle in Bracciano, and Lake Como’s deep blue waters. The Amalfi Coast in southern Italy is known for its cliff-side buildings, striking views and production of limoncello, but it’s also a honeymooners’ paradise
Amsterdam is so beautiful with its canals and bridges, but it’s culture is drawing tourists from all over. The Ann Frank Museum and the Van Gogh Museum are must-sees as is government monument, The Vondelpark, named after a Dutch poet, Joost van den Vondel.
Then there’s Copenhagen, Denmark, where your clients can visit the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale castles and historic landmarks in person.
Of course, there’s one of the most popular travel destinations right now and that’s Iceland with it’s Snæfellsjökull National Park, which is home to an active volcano, and Reykjavik, the capital and largest city in Iceland. There’s the Blue Lagoon and, of course, the Northern Lights, a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Europe is all of this and more, so work hard at selling.
