Agent to Agent: What Do You Do For Your Own Vacation?
Question: As an agent, what do you like to do when it comes time for you to take your own vacation?
Tammy: Like everyone else, agents also need a break and taking our own vacation for some fun and relaxation from time-to-time is a definite must. (And we all know that a Fam trip does not count as a vacation, right?!)
Personally, I like to take a small group of people with me when vacationing. Usually a mix of agents and clients. I also like to bring my husband when we get the opportunity to travel with other agents, especially when we get the chance to vacation at really great prices. Most of the other agents we travel with also invite their clients because they can pass on those great savings.
I find the experiences when traveling with others is always amazing and unique.
Europe is definitely a favorite vacation destination of mine. About three years ago we went to Sardinia, and then just last year we traveled some backroads to Greece. This year we are going to Spain, with plans to visit Barcelona and more for 10 days.
I had the opportunity to bring with me two of my own agents, another two TASK Live agents and 4 clients. Some of the other agents also brought more clients and it was truly one of the best vacations I had ever taken. We took a lot of side trips so that we could experience what the culture and the food was like off the beaten path. We wanted to learn everything about the countries so we made it where we pretty much ran our own tour.
Most clients wouldn’t want to travel any other way. Not a cruise, not a short 3-night stay in Mexico or the Caribbean. A full 10-day itinerary is always preferred, which allows the time for everyone to fully relax and enjoy the trip.
Traveling solo from time-to-time is also recommended as it can give agents a whole new viewpoint, making you an even better agent.
Let me know if you have any questions on how you can join our group so you can learn to do these on your own. This is how you truly become an expert in travel. Or if you happen to have a group in place already and would love to share your adventures with me and others, please let us know. We are all here to work together and the more we can connect, the better.
