Which came first- the chicken or the egg? This age old question applies to business too. Which came first the happy clients or the success? In this case the answer boils down to your very first customer that you ever served. If you made them happy and they sent you more customers you inevitably built your business from there and hence, continued your cycle of growing and becoming more successful.
If you aren’t as successful as you want to be, it’s time to take a closer look at why. Have your past clients been happy with your services? Is there anything you could have done differently to push their opinion of you over the top? One thing we always do when our clients return from a trip is we send them a follow up email asking them how their trip went. Although we are there for them if they need us during the planning stages, pre and post booking and up until the moment they leave for their destination- we always follow up upon their return just to see if they were happy with the service we provided.
It’s important as a travel agent or any business owner honestly, to ensure that your customers are happy. If your client didn’t enjoy the interaction with you not only will they not work with you in the future, but they won’t refer others to your business. Customers want to feel like they matter to you, not like they are just another number for your bottom line. When you reach out and ask how things went you are sending a message that you care about their happiness. When the customer is happy, everyone is happy. So, find out what makes your customers happy and then do that!
