Productivity Tips For The Busy Travel Agent
If you have been a travel agent for more than five minutes, you know that the profession is quite demanding and often pretty hectic. When you have so many things to do the stress can be overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. Being productive at work is critical to boost efficiency in your business. Here are some productivity tips that will help you get more done in your day:
Automate as much of your workload as possible: Think inbound marketing such as blogging, trip giveaways as lead generators, Google Ads as an automatic way to get the word out about your business. You can even schedule newsletters to go out to email lists, take payments while you sleep, automate communications and more.
Get offline and get to work: Social media is a critical tool for marketing and customer interaction, we get it. But, if you find yourself scrolling through feeds for more than 10 minutes and suddenly watching silly videos and reading useless articles, STOP! Get back to work already. Facebook and Twitter will be there after the work is done!
Set a timer for tasks: There is nothing quite like a game of beat the clock to get your motor running and hammer out as much work as possible. Take your to-do list and assign time limits and then set the clock and GO! You’ve got this. You might surprise yourself how fast you can get stuff done and even have time left over to take a breath or two.
Delegate it out: There is no reason you need to be doing everything yourself. If it can’t be automated see if it can be delegated. Blog posts -outsource them, graphics design – outsource it, Book keeping – outsource it… Are you seeing a theme here? Let it go so that you can get back to the aspects of your business you are really good at.
I get it, it’s hard to maintain a high level of productivity. However, there are definitely things you can do that will help you get more done each day. I hope this post has inspired you to find additional ways to be more productive in your travel agency.
