With more than 30 years of business success, Tammy Levent is the dynamic Executive Director of award-winning Elite Travel Management Group and her local and global identity is as big as her heart. She is active in several Tampa Bay area charities and has helped raise thousands of dollars with annual fundraisers for Friends of Joshua House Foundation, The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, Mayor’s Beautification Program, National Network of Ending Domestic Violence, the American Cancer Society, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Ruth Eckerd Hall Foundation, to name a few.
In 2009, Tammy held the first annual Tammy Levent Birthday Bash at SAKS FIFTH AVENUE, Tampa, FL to stimulate a failing economy. In order to boost revenue and generate business for local merchants, vendors were invited during the event to set up booths showcasing and selling products and services at exclusive discounts to guests who attended the party. Vendors who participated at last year’s Stimulus Bash ranged from American Express Vacations, Drake Entertainment, Ruth Eckerd Hall, Bank of Florida, Saddlebrook Resort, Mercedes Benz, Westshore Yacht Club, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and thirty others.
This year, Tammy will hold her 2nd annual birthday bash at luxury retailer SAKS FIFTH AVENUE on July 29, 2010 from 6:00pm-9:00pm. At this year’s closeddoor celebration, rousing the economy for local vendors will still be key, but raising money for three local charities will be the focus. The three designated 501(c) (3) organizations benefiting from this year’s festivities will be The Crisis Center, Friends of Joshua House and Hands Across the Bay.

ABOUT THE CHARITIES:
Friends of Joshua House Foundation Joshua House is a safe haven for abused, abandoned, and neglected children, offering a therapeutic residential group care program that provides a protected, nurturing, family-like environment for children ages six to seventeen. These children have been removed from their homes due to crisis and many have been through multiple foster homes. Hundreds of children have passed through Joshua House since it opened in 1992. Each story of abuse and neglect is as unique as the child. With five homes on 11 acres, Joshua House promotes growth, stability, and support specific to each child’s need. Keeping sibling groups together is just one of the many ways Joshua House makes a difference. www.friendsofjoshuahouse.com
The Crisis Center The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay brings help, hope and healing to people facing serious life challenges or trauma resulting from sexual assault or abuse, violence, financial distress, medical emergency, suicidal thoughts, emotional or situational problems.
Hands Across the Bay Hands Across the Bay’s mission is to support programs, organizations and individuals whose objective and efforts are dedicated to improving the quality of life in Tampa Bay. The first fundraising efforts for this new organization are geared to assist burned victim and mother of two, Audrey. On November 17, 2009, Audrey’s estranged husband struck her with a hammer, doused her with gasoline and lit her on fire. She suffered burns on 80% of her body. After three months in the Intensive Care Burn Unit from where she was recently released, but visits three days per week for rehabilitation, Audrey is determined to reach the goals she set prior to this tragic incident. Although she struggles each day to return to the life she previously knew, she spends time with other burned victims by supporting them to find the courage and strength to move forward with their healing process. EVENT THEME AND SPECIAL PERFORMACE: The 2010 birthday party theme will be We Are Family where the community and local businesses come together for a memorable night to raise money for three remarkable charities.
The theme is also “sub-influenced” by the legendary, Sister Sledge featuring Kathy Sledge. The Grammy® Award winning and renowned sisters will be performing several of their platinum classic and Billboard hits and making a personal appearance during the charity event. The evening will be a night to remember not only for its notable entertainment but for the amount of money we are certain it will raise.
In addition to an incredible show by Sister Sledge, we will continue to keep it in the family with a performance by Tammy’s daughter, Katie Levent. Katie was the recipient of the Heroes & Legends Award presented to her by founder of the Motown record label and music industry icon, Berry Gordy.
SPONSORSHIP/VALUE IN-KIND CONTRIBUTIONS AND DONATIONS: In order to bring a “family” together, we will need to gather a community of support. At this time, we are accepting both Value In-Kind contributions and monetary donations for this event.
