I Don’t Have Time For Social Media- Am I Really Missing Out on Clients?
One common complaint among business owners is that they don’t have time for social media. I’m here to tell you that if you are not on social media you ARE missing out on clients. The simple fact is your customers are all online and if you aren’t there with them you are missing out on wonderful opportunities for more business!
Running a business takes a lot of effort. Every waking minute as an entrepreneur is spent trying to drum up more business, fulfill promises you have made, keep customers happy, invoice clients and the list goes on. I get it, but as little as 30 minutes a day can connect you with customers you didn’t even know were out there.
Here’s one example to show you how social media can easily land you more clients. Let’s say you want to sell a travel package that is worth $2,000 to Jamaica. You post a picture on facebook of a beautiful resort with a few details about the package. Your fans see it and “like” it and one of them happens to share the photo with a quick quip about how they are dreaming of visiting for their next vacation. That day you get a call from a friend that saw the shared picture who never heard of your company before seeing that post. He asks about the package, you pitch the sale and 10 minutes later you book the trip. If you make 8% in commission you just made $160 just for taking that time to post to facebook. Congratulations! A complete stranger just became a client because you were on social media.
If you are still kicking and screaming about how you don’t have time for social media- outsource it! There are plenty of freelancers and virtual assistants out there willing to do it for you cheaper than you think.
